Acceptable Use Policy

Effective: August 4, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to all services provided by RodyWorks, LLC. d/b/a RodyWorks Web Hosting and is incorporated into the Terms of Service. You are responsible for your account, your sites, your scripts, and your users.

1. Lawful Use

Services may be used only for lawful purposes. You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, these policies, and - because our infrastructure runs on Amazon Web Services - the AWS Acceptable Use Policy, which passes through to you.

2. Prohibited Content

  • Content that is illegal under U.S. or California law, or that facilitates illegal activity
  • Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) material, or any content that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits minors — zero tolerance. Such material, and any account that creates, uploads, stores, distributes, or facilitates it, will be removed and the account terminated immediately on discovery and reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement as required by law
  • Content infringing copyright, trademark, or other proprietary rights (see the DMCA Policy)
  • Malware, phishing pages, credential-harvesting kits, or exploit distribution
  • Content that harasses, threatens, or incites violence against any person or group
  • Counterfeit goods, pyramid schemes, or deceptive/fraudulent offerings

3. Prohibited Conduct

  • Unsolicited bulk email (spam/UCE) in any form; purchased or scraped mailing lists
  • Network abuse: port scanning, denial-of-service, unauthorized access attempts, spoofing
  • Resource abuse that degrades service for others on shared infrastructure, including sustained excessive CPU/RAM/IO and cryptocurrency mining
  • Running open relays, open proxies, or public VPN/exit nodes on shared hosting
  • Interfering with or circumventing security or resource controls

4. Email Sending

Shared hosting is subject to hourly outbound email limits. All commercial email must comply with CAN-SPAM (accurate headers, working unsubscribe, physical address). Bulk mail campaigns require a purpose-built email service, not shared hosting.

5. Security

Keep your applications, plugins, and credentials current and secure. Compromised accounts used to host or distribute abuse may be suspended without prior notice to protect the platform and other customers.

6. Enforcement

Violations may result in, at our discretion and depending on severity: a warning, content removal, account suspension, or termination under the Terms of Service. We may investigate suspected violations and will cooperate with law enforcement where legally required. Severe abuse (CSAM, active malware distribution, network attacks) results in immediate suspension.

7. Reporting Abuse

Report abuse originating from our network to support@rodyworks.com with logs or URLs where possible.
