RodyWorks Web Hosting Privacy Policy
RodyWorksEffective: August 4, 2026
1. Who We Are
RodyWorks, LLC., doing business as RodyWorks Web Hosting ("RodyWorks," "we"), operates clients.rodyworks.com and web.rodyworks.com. Contact: support@rodyworks.com; RodyWorks, LLC., 1505 W Pine Ave, Lompoc, CA 93436, USA.
2. Scope: Controller vs. Processor
For your account and billing data, RodyWorks is the data controller (business). For content you store on your hosting services (your websites, databases, email), you are the controller and RodyWorks acts only as a processor/service provider at your direction. If you are subject to the GDPR and require a data processing agreement, contact support@rodyworks.com.
3. Data We Collect and Why
- Identifiers & contact data (name, email, address, phone): account creation, billing, support, and - for domain registrations - the registration data required by ICANN and the applicable registry.
- Billing data (invoices, transaction records; full card data is handled by our payment processors and is not stored by us): charging for services and tax/accounting obligations.
- Usage and log data (IP addresses, access logs, resource usage): security, abuse prevention, capacity planning, and troubleshooting.
- Support communications: resolving your requests.
Legal bases (where GDPR applies): performance of a contract, legitimate interests (security, service improvement), legal obligation, and consent where required.
4. We Do Not Sell Personal Information
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require a right to limit.
5. Disclosures to Service Providers
We disclose personal information only to service providers processing it for us under contract: Amazon Web Services (infrastructure), cPanel (control panel licensing), our upstream ICANN-accredited registrar and applicable registries (domain registrations, including publication of registration data as required by ICANN policy), payment processors, and email delivery providers. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or our network.
6. Retention
Account and billing records are retained while your account is active and afterwards as required for legal, tax, and accounting purposes (typically up to 7 years for financial records). Hosted content is deleted per the Terms of Service after termination. Operational logs are retained for a limited window.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures: encrypted transport (TLS), hardened and monitored servers, access controls, and least-privilege administration. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. International Transfers
The services are operated from the United States. If you access them from outside the U.S., your information is transferred to and processed in the U.S.
9. Your Rights
California (CCPA/CPRA): you have the rights to know/access, delete, and correct your personal information, and to non-discrimination for exercising those rights. Because we do not sell or share personal information, no opt-out is required.
EEA/UK (GDPR): you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise rights, email support@rodyworks.com from your account email address; we will verify your request and respond within the statutory period.
10. Children
The services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
11. Cookies
See our Cookie Policy. Consent is managed through the cookie banner.
12. Changes
Updates will be posted here with a new effective date; material changes will be notified to your account email.
